GHOST
2007
Wall drawing (graphite)
2,50 x 3,37 m
Ghost is a semi-fictional tale turned into a large scale wall-drawing. The text alludes to the rise and fall of the OUTPOST sign perched on a Los Angeles hill, eventually taken over by its HOLLYWOOD(LAND) rival. The fragility of the work – drawn with graphite – and its ultimate fading are as much part of the piece as they are a reminder of America’s tendency to erase its own iconic past.
